What is Tafseer?
Tafseer is the scholarly explanation of the Quran — its linguistic meanings, context of revelation, scholarly opinions, lessons, and guidance for life. It is the tool that the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ and their successors used to truly understand Allah's Book.
In this course, our qualified teachers guide you through selected Tafseer works — drawing on classical scholars like Ibn Katheer and Ibn Ashur alongside accessible modern commentary — to give you a balanced, authoritative understanding of the Quran.
Students who have studied Translation will find this course takes their understanding to an entirely new level — engaging with the reasons behind verses, scholarly discussions, and the practical guidance each section provides.
