The Science of the Ten Qiraat
The ten Qiraat are ten distinct, authentic ways of reciting the Holy Quran — each transmitted through a different chain of narrators back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. They represent the full breadth of how the Quran was taught by the Prophet to his Companions.
This course begins with a thorough grounding in the science of Qiraat (Ilm al-Qiraat), before studying each of the ten recitation styles in sequence — starting with Hafs 'an Asim (the most widely used today) and progressively mastering the nine remaining styles.
This is one of the highest levels of Quranic study available — upon completion, students are eligible to pursue Ijazah in multiple Qiraat, joining a very small and honoured group of scholars worldwide.
ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا
