About This Course

Why Learn Urdu?

For millions of South Asian Muslims in the UK and USA, Urdu is the language of home, family, and Islamic heritage — yet many second and third generation Muslims have never formally learned to read or write it. This course gives you that connection.

Urdu shares its script with Arabic and Persian, making it a natural companion to Quranic study. Many of the most important Islamic books, lectures, and poetry in the world are in Urdu — and learning it gives you direct access to this vast ocean of knowledge.

Whether you are a heritage speaker who can speak but not read, a complete beginner, or someone who wants to communicate with family in Pakistan or India, this course is designed to meet your goals.

إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْعُلَمَـٰؤُاْ

Indeed it is only those with knowledge among His servants who fear Allah

Surah Fatir, 35:28
